A short climb of about 1,000 stone steps on a hill above Jaipur, mostly unshaded until the ridge, so it is hot at midday; the Neemrana guide rates it harder than the other Jaipur walks because of its rough forest path.
About this trek
Chulgiri
Chulgiri is a short Aravalli hill walk above Ghat Ki Guni on the edge of Jaipur. A stepped path climbs through scrub to the hilltop Jain temples and their marble courtyards, with wide views over the city. It suits beginners, families and pilgrims who want a steady climb of a couple of hours.

Risks

- Step counts differ between sources (over 400, 752 and 1,000), so plan for a long staircase.
- Temple darshan hours are limited (a listing gives 06:30-07:30 and 10:00-17:00); check locally before going.
- Unverified page: distance, altitude and season are estimates and not confirmed by two sources.

Questions
How long does the Chulgiri Jain temple climb take?
A travel listing gives about 2 to 3 hours for the visit, going up the stepped path and returning.
How many steps are there to Chulgiri temple?
Sources disagree: a temple promotional site says over 400 carved steps, a 2007 travel blog says 752, and a Jain pilgrimage directory says 1,000. A road also reaches the temples for those who cannot climb.
When is the best time to go to Chulgiri?
Go early in the morning, and in the cooler months from October to March. The climb is mostly unshaded and uncomfortable in midday heat. The season is our estimate, not a published figure.
Is Chulgiri an easy walk?
It is short, but a guide describes the rustic forest path as harder than the other Jaipur walks it lists. The stairs are the easier option.
